InRENEI2026: Call for posters

The Inari Symposium on Research Ethics in Nature, Environment and Indigenous Research (InRENEI2026, link) brings together researchers, experts and ethics committee members for a two-day event in Inari, Finland, on 10-11 June 2026. This international symposium on research ethics focuses on ethical principles and ethical review in research on nature, the environment and indigenous peoples. The main organiser of InRENEI2026 is the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity TENK, and event co-organisers are the Sámi Parliament, the University of Lapland and the Natural Resources Institute Finland (LUKE).

We now invite abstracts for poster presentations. This call is broadly defined, with no predefined list of topics, and a wide range of submission topics are welcomed. Particular consideration will be given to poster submissions that engage directly with the theme of the event.

Abstract instructions:

  • Max. 300 words (not including references) in English
  • Open review process, so no requirement to anonymise
  • Send your abstract in Word format to inrenei@tenk.fi by 15 March 2026

The abstracts will be reviewed by the organisers. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by 31 March, 2026.

InRENEI2026 is an in-person event, so there will be no hybrid component or possibility to present online.
